Rose water is a flavoured water made by steeping rose petals in water. It is used to flavour food, as a component in some cosmetic and medical preparations, and for religious purposes. Rosewater has a distinctive sweet flavour, perfume, and Ayurveda since ancient times. Rosewater is used heavily in Persian, and Middle Eastern Food preparations. Also, Rosewater is used for savoury dishes like Biryani and sweet dishes such as Kheer, Payasam, Gulabjamun, and Kulfi in Indian cuisine.
