Muthu Samba Rice, the staple rice of srilanka, is one of the prettiest grains of rice. Shiny and shaped like a tiny pearl, it is very nice looking rice. Samba rice has a distinct taste and can be described as having a more ‘starchy’ or ‘corny’ flavor, and thus is an acquired taste preferred mainly by the locals of south India and srilanka. MUTHU means pearl.
