It is a sweet sauce made with sugar and milk, very popular in Latin America. In Colombia is also known as Arequipe and Mexico as Cajeta.
Dulce de leche is used as a spread on bread and as an ingredient in the production of desserts such as pudding, flan or ice cream.
Ingredients:
water, sugar, whole milk powder (22%), glucose syrup and fructose syrup, skimmed milk powder (7%), natural vanilla flavor.
